Sterilising Bummer

While under confinement after the birth of my third child, I sometimes had to ask mr x to help out with the household chores, including washing and sterilising the baby's feeding bottles. By then, mr x knew that all he had to do was just to dump the bottles into a pot of hot boiling water for a few scorching minutes and that was it. The bottles would be done and rid of germs.

However, little did I know that mr x would wrongly draw from that experience to one day apply the same method to cleaning his own stuff. It was only by chance that I dropped by the kitchen one sunday afternoon to discover the snafu. That afternoon I became curious when I noticed he had left a pot of water to boil over the stove. Sneaking a quick peek inside the pot, I was bowled over with what I saw. Totally submerged and crying out for help under the bubbling hot boiling water was a pair mr x's eye-glasses with all its shining gory!

duh... how was I supposed to know that!

Aghast and trying hard to stifle my laughter, I quickly turned off the heat before further damage was done. Unfortunately, it was too late. Although the frame was still intact, the lenses were terribly distorted. Apparently, mr x's glasses were beyond salvation. This incident taught me how ludicrous his reasoning could be at times. I knew then I shouldn't rely on mr x again to help me out with any of the household chores. With that brand of logic running through his head, only God knows what unthinkable stuff he'll do next!

But of course, now I no longer have to worry about what mr x's next move is.
